parents should examine the books if they want to bar thier children from it because it is stupid to do otherwise, i mean, you wouldnt tell your child to not be friends with someone without knowing something more about the person. its like saying "dont do this, even though i have no clue what it is, dont do it!" some parents over react about these issues when thet really dont know what it is about.

parents reserve the right to teach thier children about issues like drug use because it's thier child, they have a say in what thier child knows.and if they dont like what the school s saying, then its thier responsibility to teach thier children otherwise.

also some parents have different viws on what thier child should know or not.
