Quote #4
Some parents ban books from their children without knowing the full context. The main topic of a book could be about something negative but actually have positive meaning. For example, a book could be expressing someone who was exposed to drugs and the book could very well go into depth of the use of drugs and the problems that are sparked with it. Although these contents would be in the book the actual meaning of it may be about someone overcoming this addiction and could show the positives of never getting into drugs and the lives that are led without it. Without having full knowledge of a piece of literature i feel that parents do not hold the right to ban it from their children.

Quote #3
I feel that parents do hold certain rights which entitle them to inform their children on controversial topics. Someone who may hold different values than the childs parents could give an influence in which the parents wouldn't agree nor appreciate. Having other views on a topic isn't neccessarily a bad thing but i believe the parents have the right to introduce the subject or be the first ones to have talked in depth about it with their children.
