In quote two, it discusses how under the Patriot act agencies like the FBI, NSA, and CIA have the right to monitor american citezens use of media materials.  My opinion on whether or not this is just, and whether or not it should or shouldnt be done is that i belive it is completely necessary to protect america and the best interests of its people.  I think that being monitored by the government is ok because if your not doing anything wrong you havnt a thing to worry about.  i think that in todays world where terrorism is untamed and america is in its crosshairs by all means our government should take every measure necessary to protect america and the lives of our people.

In quote one, it talks about how things in literature and life can be considered obscene or not.  I think that obscene things are judged by a person's opinion on what they're analyzing.  Somethings are controversial but not obscene and i think that u have to examine something closely and study its meaning before labeling it to be obscene or not.
