i agree with the author.  i think that kids should be able to read what they want as long as they don't start doing bad things after reading them.  parents shouldn't have to worry about it they are observent of there childrens behavior. 

I belive that parents do reserve the right to censor there kids about topics like drugs and sex but only to an extent. i think that they should teach there kids about subjects like that and then trust there kids enough to let them read it and not be tempted to try those things. I also belive that reading about those subjects will teach kids about there effects on people and how they effect the people around them.
