...Let the Lord Judge the Criminals..

Quote 4:

Many people have different interests. What is "good literature"? Well i guess thats a pretty personal question. Obviously elementary students shouldn't be reading books on rape and that use the "f word" in every sentence. This is the age where parents should be monitoring what their kids read. By the time you are in high-school, you should have a pretty good view of whats wrong and right, and be mature enough to handle these sorts of topics. These kinds of books might even help young adults with feeling connected to something and having a view of the "real world". Sure parents should still aware of what their kids are reading, but i don't think they should single out any one book and say "it's too inappropriate."

El Acto de Patriota

Quote 2:

I don't know how i feel about The US Patriot Act. On one hand, it is meant to protect U.S. citizens and our country from those on the more "mischeivous" sideInnocent. On the other hand, it is a complete invasion of privacy and freedom that we have a citiizen. The government also has a way of getting carried away with power and I believe at some point someone would decide to abuse this new power. Though the power has its advantages, if i HAD to choose whether to have it or not i guess i would say no. I think people should have the right to watch, read, listen to, or look at whatever they want within certain boundaries. (i wouldn't agree with going out and reading a book on how to become the worlds best terrorist or bomber) .
