The patriot act

This act if used by 100% honest emploies would be completly sucessful without any fears that the government is taking away our rights. Unfortinatly this is not and never can be true. Some people put the argument up that if your not doing anything illeagal then you should have to worry about it. Which is mostly true, but lets just pretend, for example lets say for some reason the government decieds to tap your phone, maybe just because your family is of middle eastern decent (which rediculus prejidus like that does exist), and you, just joking around say, "Wow school was horrible today maybe i should just blow the place up." Now you completly have, by accident, incriminated yourself. And even though i am sure you could get out if it, it would be a big hassle to do so. I understand the situation is unlikely but it is still possible. And whose to say if we don't stop them now then maybe they'll inturpret the document as anyone they want to raid they can do it just because they feel like it. It has happened in the past and as people say history repeats itself. Fourth Amendment: search and seizure was not created just to be ignored.

should books made for children have strict guidelines?

I personally believe that sheltering your children from the truth doesn't help them. Imagine if evertime something was confusion to you someone told you not to worry about it untill you were older. And by the time you were older all the issues that your parents said aside for you to wait for are droped right on your head. Some peoples reaction to having all the issues presented to them is to ignore it. And that is no way to fix the problems at hand. I think children are people just the same and can be as mature as we let them be. If we present the issues to them and explain them and help children understand these problems then we are already on the road to change. Some might say that these books should not be in schools, but i think the opposite, they should be so that teachers could explain things much better than most parents could. And overall we should understand children are the future and should be regarded as such.
